ON OUR WOMEN ONLY STEEP & NATURAL COURSE WE’LL HELP YOU REFINE YOUR TECHNIQUE ON STEEPER, MORE DIFFICULT TERRAIN.
For the more experienced mountain biker who wants to learn some extra technical skills for riding rougher, steeper, more technical terrain. We’ll teach you advanced body positioning that assists your flow on harder lines, to find security from grip, not from your brakes! You’ll also tackle drops, roots and rocks on the way through Glentress’ best natural trails too. This group course concentrates on tight, technical terrain where good, fast decision making is the key to good flow and a safe ride! WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
The learning group will only be open to women though on occasion there may only be a male instructor available to run this course. If you have any questions about this women only mountain bike skills course please contact us. Steeper, technical and more natural feeling terrain is where most mountain bikers aspire to ride, but it also demands the most commitment from the rider. So we’ll cover most features found on steep, technical ungraded trails and. All on the challenging terrain of Glentress’ steeper, hand cut “natural off-piste” trails.
This course is for riders who can confidently ride red graded trails and perhaps have already tried to ride on black graded and ungraded natural terrain already.

- Wheel lifts and slow speed balance.
- Braking zones on steep & technical terrain.
- Riding off-camber terrain & technical features.
- Best practice for negotiating roots, rocks and uneven terrain.
- Riding narrow, loose and steep trails.
- Linking techniques on the trail to boost speed and flow
