E-Bike Hire-Scotland is a fairly recent addition to the bike industry network in The Tweed Valley, but they have got off to a great start. Located at The Glentress Hotel, they have the biggest fleet of e-bikes available for hire in The Scottish Borders.

All of their bikes come with at least a 625Wh battery meaning that you can get a full days riding out of your hire without the dreaded addition of “battery anxiety” With Glentress on thier doorstep, this means you can get straight out on the trails and cover the maximum amount of trails. E-bike Hire Scotland have bikes from Cube Bikes, Focus Bikes and Ghost bikes all equipped with the latest versions of Bosch’s Performance motor, so reliability is not in question. You can also hire an extra battery for bigger days out as well as charge your own e-bike battery at The Glentress Hotel completely free.

– Alpine Bikes Glentress –

The Tweed Valley branch of Alpine Bikes have the added bonus of being right at the foot of all the trails that make up the UK’s most popular mountain biking destination. Glentress. This is great for you as you can get new clothes, a new helmet, new shoes and hire a bike with no time wasted in getting to the good stuff!

The staff at Alpine Bikes Glentress are locals. They live here, they ride here and the core of them have worked there for a significant time. They know the trails, the people and have all the information you need to make the most of your Glentress or extended Tweed Valley visit. Alpine Bikes are part of The Tiso Group, one of Scotland’s older outdoor equipment retailers. This means the have huge resource to help you, whatever you need. A good example of this is their click and collect service, allowing you reserve your stuff a few days before arriving at the trail to pick it up. Perfect!

– I-Cycles Innerleithen –

I-Cycles is situated in the heart of The Tweed Valley mountain bike scene in Innerleithen. It’s even en-route to some of the most popular trails in the area at The Golfie. I-Cycles has seen a few locations over the years, but Steve and Rachel remain at the helm after all these years.

They have been involved in the mountain bike scene in The Tweed Valley for as long as anyone can remember. Being  involved in the very first downhill races on Plora Craig just across The River Tweed. Steve was one of the first trail builders in The Valley and has supported events and riders for years. One of the first businesses to see the potential in Innerleithen as an MTB hub. The shop has has some of the best depth of stock in the area, revolving around a huge workshop with an impressive range of parts and accessories for upgrade and repair.

– Ride-Innerleithen, Innerleithen –

Ride Innerleithen is the located next to The Traquair Arms Hotel on Traquair Road, Innerleithen. It’s the area’s newest bike shop, but is becoming a fast favourite due to it’s friendly staff and carefully picked product range.

Ride-Innerleithen is a small operation with a carefully picked product range including clothing, helmets & maintenance products. The shop revolves around a small workshop with a range of popular parts and accessories available for upgrade or repairs. Brands include Shimano, Madison, DHARCO, Whyte, Kinesis, SRAM, Frog Bikes, Pivot Bikes, Fenwick’s, Ride-Wrap, Six Six One & many more.

The guys also have a shop ride every Wednesday morning where anyone can come along and meet the staff as well as other local riders.
