Where To Stay In The Tweed Valley

Bike friendly accommodation in The Tweed Valley. Everyone at Ridelines is a mountain biker. Even on our days off! We’ve travelled the country and even the world riding our bikes, so we know what you want from mountain bike friendly accommodation wherever you go. First and foremost, you want your bike to be safe and secure. You want a bike wash, a quick laundry service, good food, a warm welcome and a quiet, comfortable place to lay your head before the next ride.

This is the valley of the bike people, so many businesses in The Tweed Valley have gone to great lengths to make sure all of the above are covered in order to make your stay as worry free as possible. Here’s three of our favourite and most reliable Tweed Valley accommodation providers.

– The Glentress Hotel, Glentress –

The Glentress Hotel is situated a literal  60 second bike ride from Glentress Forest, the most popular mountain bike location in the UK. Under new management for the last few years, Murray and his team will make sure you get everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They have everything you need right on site. Treading a line between luxury and simplicity is what the Glentress Hotel is great at. With simple rooms at great prices, it’s attractive to the pocket, but when you get to being hungry, the food is some of the best in The Tweed Valley. The bar is stocked with local ales as well as your favourite brews and the menu is as simple and tasty as they come.

During the day, the Glentress Hotel has a cafe serving hot and cold snacks, bar meals as well as coffee and cakes too. Everything above is available to take in on one of the best beer gardens in the Tweed Valley overlooking Cardrona Forest, Horsburgh Castle and the final ridges of the Gypsy Glen descent. We work with The Glentress Hotel for skills tuition, corporate events and guiding. Be sure to mention you found them on the Ridelines website when you visit the Glentress Hotel.
