Experience?

All of RIDELINES staff are fully qualified UKMBLA instructors and have years of direct out on the trail experience, working with hundreds of riders every year from novice to experienced mountain bikers.
We’ve been providers of mountain bike tuition since 2006 and have years of experience working with riders on their development – we don’t rely on ‘one size fits all’ or ‘show and tell instruction’ but work with each rider looking at exactly what they need.  We will analyse your riding and customise your session so you get to develop your technical riding  face to face with experienced instructors.  You will get the nuanced support you need with expert analysis  and opportunities to ride, learn new technique and apply that learning with expert help at hand out on the trail with us.  RIDELINES are also an industry leader in providing the British Cycling Leadership UKMBLA qualifications training and assessing the future generations of leaders, instructors and guides.  We are based on the doorstep of Glentress Forest and a few crank turns from Innerleithen can show you round our backyard on waymarked and off piste trails that we are lucky enough to ride every day.

Qualifications?

All our instructors hold the highly respected and nationally recognised industry qualification MBLA TCL – UKMBLA Level 2 / MBLA MBL -UKMBLA Level 3 and all are Outdoor First Aid certified with all staff  PVG disclosed and meet our Child Protection Policy Workshop requirements.  RIDELINES are key contributors to the national DMBiS “Good Practice Guide” and an industry supporter of the Scottish Cycling “Mountain Bike Centre of Scotland” (MTBCOS) right on our doorstep at Glentress Forest. Among our ranks we also hold UKMBLA Tutor status provider, British Cycling Level 3 MTB specific coaching award provider and Cytec level 3 mechanic qualifications. We are, of course, fully insured and have all the paperwork you would expect from industry professionals including policies and operating procedures that set the standard for industry best practice.

Our ethos is built around rider development with care taken to make sure that you get what you need to meet your own riding challenges. RIDELINES are a key contributor to industry standards and development in the mountain biking sector working with Scottish Cycling, British Cycling, Mountain Biking Centre of Scotland (MTBCoS), and Developing Moutain Biking in Scotland (DMBiS).
Innerleithen trails and the infamous off piste ENDURO and downhill trails are right on our doorstep and Glentress Forest only a short ride away and a world of big country riding for miles out from our base here in the Tweed Valley and we only provide local experienced guides. We feel very lucky indeed to live and be based right in the centre of a riding community with RIDELINES providing strong links to grassroots cycling, UKMBLA national awards, local cycling club and leadership development and nationally recognised Tweed Valley events.
